"All you girls do is stand there."
"And that, I am told, is the definition of a star."
--Mrs. Henderson Presents
Dreamed of being in a "virtual reality" version of a Star Wars movie, hanging on ta a camera that kept speeding through the sets; seeing that the parents had bought a pony(?); a dramatization of William Styron's slave revolt novel The Confessions of Nat Turner; imagining a concluding montage showing the process that led to the abolition of slavery; the song "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon"; a Steve Canyon adventure involving a small flying machine and being held prisoner.
Saw the DVD of the documentary The Carter Family. A lot of their songs are keepers!
Dinner was spaghetti.
Saw Stephen Frears' Mrs. Henderson Presents at the Regent. It wasn't bad.
